AMC’s ‘The Pitch:’ Rival agencies compete for an account on new reality show

If any other agency-types caught a preview of AMC’s The Pitch after MadMen Sunday night, you may have seen a reality show all too familiar.

The show’s concept profiles the oft-chaotic process of creative advertising work with each episode following two advertising agencies as they vie for a major client account. In the first episode McKinney Advertising goes head-to-head with WDCW Advertising for a multi-million dollar, national Subway ad about the launch of new breakfast sandwiches geared towards 18 – 24 year-olds.

Check out the pilot episode here and set your DVRs for the 2-hour series premiere on April 30. The show’s site also features each agency’s ad campaign artwork profiles of the agencies and polls of who you think should have won, which should tide you over in-between episodes.
