Help make a difference in a Chicago teen’s life with a night at the ballet. EMBARC (Empowering Minds Building Achievement and Reconnecting Communities), a Chicago non-profit organization that exposes teens from underserved neighborhoods to new experiences, is having a its 3rd EMBARC: A New Movement benefit. On Thurs., Aug. 29, the Joffrey Ballet stars will grace the stage of the Black Box Theatre in order to raise money to keep the program going. Artistic Director Ashley Wheater will host the event, which will showcase neo-classical and contemporary pieces choreographed by company members.
A New Movement is an amazing opportunity for business leaders, philanthropists, dancers, and dance enthusiasts to unite in support of bringing similar forms of art and culture exposure to Chicago’s most underserved students.
In addition to the performance, a reception with craft cocktails and hors d’oeuvres, as well as a silent action, will follow. VIP ticket holders are invited to a reception before the show. All proceeds from this event will go directly to EMBAC to fund trips to local restaurants, arts events and even farms. Click here to purchase your ticket today.
