Homeless Cop
Doejo has worked with artist and illustrator Homeless Cop in developing his fine acrylic artwork into animated shorts and ultimately an animated series geared towards Turner’s Adult Swim network. We produced 12 commercial bumps which air in between programs on Adult Swim among other commissioned work. Doejo also produced his portfolio page and blog site.

The next big animated series on the Adult Swim network
Artist and illustrator, Jason Fennell -- AKA Homeless Cop -- has a close relationship with Doejo and co-founder Phil Tadros that spans a wide range of online, print and animated video projects. The cumulative partnership began in May 2010 and hasn’t stopped since.
Homeless Cop’s fine acrylic paintings have been featured in one of Tadros’ coffee shops which led to the production of t-shirts and prints of his work. This led to pitching a 10-second animated commercial bumps on Turner Broadcasting’s Adult Swim network, produced by Doejo. Adult Swim execs liked it so much they ordered 11 more to feature in between programming and even commissioned Homeless Cop for a nation-wide mural design campaign in December 2010. Homeless Cop murals represented Adult Swim from New York City to Los Angeles and from Austin to Chicago for that campaign.
Currently Doejo is working on developing a Homeless Cop animated pilot episode for Adult Swim to potentially become a series on the network of adult-oriented animated shows accompanying Cartoon Network programming.
To chronicle Homeless Cop’s work and give the artist a platform to interact with his fans, Doejo created HomelessCop.com with an e-commerce store to purchase forthcoming prints and merchandise, as well as serve as a portfolio of paintings and videos.
Celebrities and TV program reps have also commissioned Homeless Cop’s work (typically for portrait paintings) such as Conan O’Brien, The Office, Rainn Wilson, John C. Reilly, and Adult Swim’s “Tim and Eric Awesome Show,” among others. Homeless Cop's designs can also be found on a series of Alien Workshop skateboards and on merchandise, branding and album covers for Chicago-based record label Invisibles.
Media buzz includes mention and a front page feature in the Chicago Tribune’s RedEye in October 2010: “Since then, the paintings have sold so well, [Doejo] is working to transform Fennell's art into a cartoon series aimed for Adult Swim on Cartoon Network.” While design blog, The Tailored Blog wrote of Homeless Cop in November 2010: “All of his paintings, both in the cafe and on his site, are modern, edgy, controversial, colorful and geometric. Plus a wonderful combination of historical influence and pop culture.”
Design Bureau, a creative design blog contributed by one of our designers, featured Homeless Cop in May 2011 if you want more information on his creative process and esoteric name.
Over the last year, Doejo has been a huge help in taking my dreams into reality. Not only did I get a fantastic website, the whole Doejo staff was professional and a pleasure to work with. I would recommend them to anyone who wants to take their business or website to the net level.
