30 Seconds Over Chicago Advertising Competition

The first-ever all-city crowd-sourced advertising competition is going down at The Double Door on Tuesday night at 8 p.m. 30 Seconds Over Chicago is an advertising competition where they are crowd-sourcing the creative process to make 30-second commercials for 30 small businesses in Wicker Park.

During the event each ad, created by Chicago’s best copywriters and filmmakers, will be shown to the live audience. Creative masterminds from Ogilvy, Leo Burnett and Doejo’s very own Creative Director Darren Marshall will judge the videos. After they are presented and critiqued by industry executives it’s up to the to audience to decide the winner.

Businesses include Akira Boutique, Alliance Bakery, Filter Coffeehouse, Quimby’s Comics and Reckless Records. First place winners of the contest will receive $1,000 and various other prizes donated by the businesses. All 30 commercials will receive 3 months of airline on the live broadcasts of Gigity.TV which streams nightly at The Double Door, The Elbow Room and on Second City’s stages.
