Boosting a subculture phenom and extending it’s functionality: Ice Cream Man

Matt Allen’s job is to travel the country, hitting up music festivals from Sasquatch to Bonnaroo and SXSW to Lollapalooza giving away free ice cream. It’s a pretty sweet gig ―the Long Beach, CA-native has built up a fleet of ice cream trucks and carts since 2004 led by not just drivers but photographers, concert reviewers and film makers building up IceCreamMan.com as a momentous culture-hub.

Doejo was hit by Allen in 2009 to expand Ice Cream Man’s growing web presence. A presence profiled by Spin, Rolling Stone and NPR, among others for his music fest influence. We converted IceCreamMan.com from its previous CMS (transferring thousands of photo galleries, audio and video files) to a more user-friendly Word Press platform with a heftier span of functionality.

One of our other clients Consequence of Sound, recently wrote a detailed profile of Ice Cream Man’s growing success and influence, “Living the Dream with Matt Allen, aka Ice Cream Man.”
