Making Websites VS. Designing Websites

Working in the digital world means that almost anything is possible. Budgets can be stretched further, creativity is virtually unlimited, and a website can be brought to life from a design studio, or in the comfort of your home. Even though there’s all these possibilities when working through a digital project, I have to point something out: anyone can make a website, but it takes talent and knowledge to design a website. Anyone can make a website that looks cool, but it takes talent and knowledge to design a website that functions properly and meets project goals.

I’m not trying to say that there’s a need for formal education, 30+ years of experience or some other milestones that need to be met. What I’m trying to simply point out is that making a website is completely different from designing a website. So, take a moment and think about the value of a website that’s made vs. one that’s designed
