Pre-order the Leap Year Project Book with this discount code

Our buddy Victor Saad recently finished his Leap Year Project, where he traveled the world visiting design agencies, entrepreneurs, creative mavens and others looking to take a risk and create change in their worlds—to take a leap.

He’s publishing a book due out in April, which just received full funding on Kickstarter, all about this journey taking on 12 experiences and apprenticeships in 12 months. In this full color, glossy book you’ll find stories from 70 authors around the world, artwork from leading designers and an introduction by Crispin Porter + Bogusky Creative Director, Alex Bogusky. In addition, the proceeds of this book go to fund future Leap Year Project endeavors—Including a scholarship fund for students attending the school “Leapers” are starting.

Crain’s Chicago Business wrote this profile of Victor last week:

In the course of Mr. Saad’s apprenticeships, he asked hundreds of people about risks they had taken and their regrets. “People gave me the coolest responses,” he says. “I would have studied more about energy, I would have adopted a child, I would’ve worked less, I would’ve given more of my time to volunteer. The list went on and on.”

So Mr. Saad hatched another facet to his project: collecting stories of people taking exciting business and personal risks, and sharing them along with his own tales in a lush coffee table book. By December he had raised $31,000 on Kickstarter to publish the book, due out in April.
