Picturing the Americas: Landscape Painting from Tierra del Fuego to the Arctic, is the first exhibition to examine landscape painting from the early nineteenth century to the early twentieth century in an inclusive, pan-American context. Thematically organized, the exhibition places special emphasis on the areas where landscape painting expressions were most vital.
The Terra Foundation for American Art is the driving force behind this ambitious exhibition across cultures and across this hemisphere. In the summer of 2015, Doejo created a digital companion that builds awareness, extends the exhibit’s lifespan, showcases the catalog, and demonstrates Terra’s collaborative approach. The website we built on WordPress boasts a responsive user experience, and showcases beautiful, high-resolution galleries that can be sorted by themes, timelines, artists and geographies, featuring explanatory text in English, Spanish and Portuguese.
Together, Doejo and Terra established a vision for the future of artistic scholarship and presentation, building a scalable and archival extension of the catalog that will live on long after the exhibition is done touring the finest art galleries in North and South America.
